Work & Studies
- Project Management: As a project manager, I plan and oversee a spectrum of projects from new and existing customers. I ensure that products and services are delivered on time, within budget and that the results are of the highest quality. Effective communication forms the foundation of my approach to project management. I am responsible for coordinating with customers to ensure that their needs are being met, and that the different teams deliver results that align with their expectations. It is my responsibility to ask critical questions so that the underlying risks can come to light and to make sure that any obstacles that the team might face, are overcome in a smooth matter.
- Agile Team Leader: As an agile team leader, I ensure that our team effectively handles fast-paced, sprint-based projects that evolve constantly. Internally, I work closely with the software and analytics development teams to harmonize efforts toward shared objectives, allocating resources effectively. Additionally, my keen attention to detail and empathetic character allows me to build strong relationships with customers, as well as promote a good atmosphere internally amongst my colleagues.
- Data Analytics: As an Analytics Developer at Predge AB, I am responsible for building and maintaining analytical models that help our customers make data-driven decisions. These customerS require predictive maintenance solutions for their rolling stock products, rail infrastructure and conveyor belt systems.
- Licentiate in Wood Science and Engineering: During my work as a PhD student, I conducted research on the economic and environmental benefits of sawing with thinner bandsaw blades. I investigated the effect of saw tooth geometry, wood conditions and cutting speed on the cutting forces. In addition to the technical experiences gained, I learnt how to conduct research, publish articles, I managed a laboratory, taught and supervised students and worked closely together with the industry.
- Master of Science in Composite Materials: The work in my masters degree concluded with the thesis work: Multifunctional Wood Polymer Composites Reinforced with Graphene Nanoplatelets. In this work, I investigated if multifunctionality can be achieved in wood polymer composites through the addition of graphene nanoplatelets. In addition to the modelling of the composites, I conducted CT scans, conducted tensile tests, fracture surface analysis through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), flexural testing, residual strain characterisation and electrical property characterisation. In addition to the characterisation techniques used in my thesis project, I learnt about polymer and composite manufacturing, biocomposites, applied fluid dynamics, and much more.
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering: During my bachelor's degree, I learnt the foundations of being an engineer. I learnt several techniques such as Catia modelling, finite element analysis, quality management, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, maintenance, manufacturing and much more. I had the opportunity to go abroad: I went to South Africa for an internship at Aerosud Aviation where I got hands-on experience in composite manufacturing. I also went to China where I worked at Northwestern Polytechnical university in Xi'an. Here I conducted computational fluid dynamic analysis on airfoils. In addition to the technical experiences gained, the cultural exposure was vast! I concluded my bachelor's degree with the conceptual design of a vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicle (VTOL-UAV) where I could showcase the knowledge I gained during the programme.
- Personal Leadership and Entrepreneurship: As an additional challenge during my bachelor's degree, I decided to join the university's honours programme. Here I learnt about my personality, my leadership style and how to apply it in the industry.
